Student Registration

 
 

Registration K-5 - Virtual registration for students entering kindergarten through fifth grade began August 3rd and will continue through August 14th. 

A new student is an incoming kindergartener -OR- one who is
transferring from another school district.


A returning student is one who attended Fairington Elementary School last school year (2019-2020). 

A transferring student is one who attended a DCSD school during the last school year (2019-2020).

Note:  The following documentation will be needed for students returning or transferring to Fairington Elementary School (you will submit these documents through the link to: [email protected]

  • A copy or picture of your Photo ID and 

  • A copy or picture of your Proof of Residency

  • Acceptable Proof of residency is as follows:

    • A current utility bill (gas, water OR electric) OR a lease/rental agreement OR a current mortgage statement.

    • The document in # 1 above must be in the name of the parent or legal guardian AND at an address in the Fairington Elementary attendance area.

    • Please write the child’s or children's name on one of the documents or list the names in the email.

    • If the document is for a transfer student, please write the name of the previous DeKalb County School.

Withdrawals - Please send all withdrawal requests to [email protected]. The email should include your child's name and receiving school district.  Please allow 48 hours for processing. CLICK HERE to view the withdrawal steps. 

NOTARIZED AFFIDAVIT OF RESIDENCE FORM 

This form is to be completed for a student attending a school within the DeKalb County School District who resides with his or her parent(s) or legal guardian(s), but whose residence is located in the home of another adult living within the boundaries of the DeKalb County School District. The Affidavit of Residence is valid for the current school year only, as long as the student and the student’s parent(s) or legal guardian(s) continue to reside at the address listed on the affidavit during that school year. The affidavit must be submitted annually before the start of each school year or upon moving into the attendance area of the new school.
